Our Catering Manager, Mrs Thompson along with our Cook in Charge, Mrs Moore, have experience of tailoring our menu to accommodate dietary requirements for medical needs.

Mrs Moore & her team

Mrs Moore has cooked food for the children of West Vale for over 20 years. Now her kitchen and team are based at Greetland School. However she still takes great pride in continuing to cook food for the children at West Vale and also the children at Greetland KS1 at Sunnybank. She welcomes any feedback or menu/recipe ideas from parents and children. She is always available for parents to contact her with regards to special dietary requirements.

Free School Meal Applications

Calderdale have advised that during these difficult times families are still able to apply for free school meals. If you feel you may be entitled to this benefit please follow this link for further details and to download an application form or an application can be submitted via Calderdale’s contact centre on 01422 288003. Please be aware that the service is still open, however, may take a while to answer your call due to the current high demand.

Free School Meal Voucher Scheme (benefit-related FSM)

You may be experiencing delays in receiving your eCodes and redeeming your eGift cards / vouchers due to the sheer volume of users on Edenred’s system. Please persevere, however, if you are experiencing problems please email for further support. If you are experiencing eCode redemption errors please check that you have entered the correct code and enter it again. If the code is still not accepted, please delete the browsing history on your device (your device might be storing the incorrect code in its memory).
